Decimated Death Valley Collection

Since the launch of the Decimated Death Valley NFT Collection, holders have enjoyed exclusive early access to key features before the wider player base. This included early staking opportunities, participation in play-to-earn leaderboards, and access to the closed alpha version of the game—long before the public alpha was released.

Now that Decimated is in open alpha, holders are asking about the next phase of utility for their assets. To expand their value and maintain engagement, several new features are planned, ensuring these items continue to play a meaningful role in the Decimated ecosystem.

1. Avatars in the Decimated Marketplace

   • Avatars will be tradeable in the Decimated marketplace, making them accessible to both web2 and web3 players.
   • Attributes and traits will be displayed on the product page, similar to Magic Eden.
   • By opening up the demand to web2 gamers on the Decimated website, this will drive demand and floor price on secondary markets like Magic Eden and Tensor.
   • Avatars purchased on the Decimated marketplace will be stored in treasury wallets and transferred to game wallets or external wallets for display on player profiles, leaderboards, and potentially in-game screens (active players list, in-game chat, etc.).
   • Future plans include enabling resale and bidding on these avatars once marketplace trading is open.

2. Staking for APR Boosts

   • Players will be able to stake one avatar per pool to receive an extra 0.5% APR on their staked DIO.
   • A rotating trait bonus system will highlight specific avatar traits monthly (e.g., Medics in January, Mechanics in February, etc.), adding an additional 0.5% APR for those avatars.
   • Players who own rare avatars of the highlighted trait will receive a full 1% APR boost during that period.
   • This system encourages buying and trading avatars on the Decimated marketplace and Magic Eden.
   • A UI pop-up will display the current highlighted avatar trait with a direct link to Magic Eden.

3. Avatars in Decimated Mini-Games

   • The auxiliary development team is working on mini-games that will integrate DIO and avatar utility.
   • More details on these mini-games will be revealed in the future.
