What are the differences between credits and DIO?

Credits

Credit are the in-game soft currency that you earn from scavenging the wasteland, completing missions and killing NPC's or other players and looting them.

Credits are used to buy in-game items that you use and can lose if you die. Other players can also steal your credits.

DIO is used to buy items that you can own, such as vehicles, weapons, characters and jetpacks. These items are secure and cannot be looted by other players. Other players cannot steal your DIO.
