How to optimize your ping and avoid gameplay issues, lag & server disconnection

If you are having extraordinarily high ping (above 500ms) which are negatively affecting your game experience, please troubleshoot the following steps:

- make sure that you are connected to a server near your location

- Disable and shut down any VPN software

- Disable and shut down any file sharing software like dropbox or onedrive

- Set your firewall to Game Mode or switch it off while playing

- Close background software such as browsers which use up a lot of computer resources

- Make sure that your computer drivers are up to date

- Scan your computer for viruses & malware

- Check what applications run on your computer on startup and disable unnecessary software
